August 23-26 | Stoneville, NC
Over the last four years, Life on Pilgrimage has led nearly 100 women across Europe, reviving ancient practices, meeting women of the Early Church, and building lasting spiritual friendships. Now we’re bringing that spirit home.

Where We’ll Gather
We’ll meet at St. Francis Springs Prayer Center, about 30 minutes from the Greensboro, NC airport (GSO). The grounds include a prayer labyrinth, wooded trails, wide Southern porches, and a glass chapel tucked in the trees. Retreat dates are Sunday, August 23, at 4:00 pm through Wednesday, August 26, at 10:00 am.
You will stay in spacious Lodge rooms (two beds, private bath; single or double occupancy) or choose a limited Hermitage—a studio “tiny house” with a small kitchen, great for complex food needs. All meals are included from Sunday dinner through Wednesday breakfast (buffet style, with vegetarian and gluten-free options by request), plus daily snacks and treats.

What You’ll Experience
This four day alumni retreat pairs guided formation with generous personal space. Together we will deepen core pilgrimage practices including Lectio Divina, Prayer Walking, Reflective Writing, Silence, and Holy Curiosity through sessions with Wendy, creative alumni led workshops, small group conversations, and unhurried time to be still. Evenings gather us around the campfire for simple games, good stories, and shared laughter.
To help you prepare, you’ll receive a 4-week spiritual preparation guide and join a pre-camp Zoom on July 9, 2026, at 7:30 pm ET; afterward, a post-camp reflection guide will help you carry insights home.

Who It’s For
Camp Fire is for women who have completed a Life on Pilgrimage trip by August 2026. The retreat is hosted by a team of six alumni with a combined 18 pilgrimages, joined by additional alumni leading breakout sessions and workshops. If you’re longing to rekindle shared practices, grow in friendship, and enjoy a gentle rhythm of guidance and quiet, you’ll feel at home here. Questions? Email Wendy Schulz.
