Starting in the 4th century, women traveled across Ireland sharing the gospel, caring for the poor, and establishing communities of faith. They were founders, waymakers, evangelists, and mercy workers, and, remarkably, they were often teenagers!
Join Life on Pilgrimage on this special “generations” pilgrimage as we welcome for the first time girls ages 14-18 and their moms (or female relatives). Together, we will explore what it means to be a woman who lives the way of Jesus.
Our carefully cultivated itinerary, which includes visits to Dublin, Kildare, Cashel, and Killarney, features private tours, unique cultural experiences, incredible accommodations, and daily spiritual teachings.
This is a remarkable opportunity for mothers and daughters to grow in their relationship with one another, and with the Lord, while building spiritual disciplines that last a lifetime.
Who is going?

Meet Wendy
Wendy Schulz is the founder of Life on Pilgrimage. She will be organizing every detail of our journey to give you a worry-free trip of a lifetime. Wendy is passionate about helping women of all ages discover pilgrimage as a faith practice.
She will lead daily spiritual and historical teachings that weave together stories of Irish sisters of faith who went before us, and personal applications to help you be a “woman of the way” at home.
As a mom of two adult daughters, she is passionate about helping moms mentor their kids. She will lead small group discussions for moms (and mom figures) before and during our trip.
Meet Emily
Emily Schulz will be serving as our Trip Shepherd. As a Young Life leader, she is passionate about helping high school-age girls grow deeper in their faith, form healthy Christian friendships, and walk out the calling God has on their lives. She will be leading small group discussions for our younger travelers before and during our trip.
Emily will graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 2027. She will be attending seminary to pursue a calling to ministry through ordination in the Anglican Church.

Who will I travel with?
Our trip will have a maximum of 16 guests. Our “Generations” trip is open to girls ages 14-18 and their mom/grandmother/auntie figures. All adult guests must be accompanied by a guest aged 14-18. We have a small number of accommodations reserved for groups of three (2 girls +1 adult or vice versa). Our trip is open to all Christian women regardless of denomination.
Where are we going?

The journey begins in Dublin
Our journey begins and ends in the capital city of Dublin. We’ll begin our journey with three days in Dublin learning about the rich heritage of Ireland’s patron saints, Patrick and Brigid. We will enjoy a tour of the Book of Kells, a unique private tour of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and enjoy a day trip to Kildare.
While in Dublin, we will be staying at The Brooks Hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Dublin. Each night we will have unique dining experiences, including Jamie Oliver’s award-winning restaurant, and a night of traditional dance and music at The Irish House Party.
South to Killarney
From Dublin we will travel south spending a day touring Rock of Cashel, also known as St Patrick’s Rock. These impressive ruins hold a special place in the history of Christianity in Ireland.
We will continue south to our second “home away from home,” the award-winning Lakes Hotel, which will be our base for the next three nights.
While in Killarney, we will enjoy a restful pace, which will include exploring the national park on a jaunting tour (horse-drawn carriage), hiking, a boat ride to an ancient monastic island, and luxerious high tea. Our days will include spiritual teaching, free time, and small group time.

More than a trip… this is a spiritual discipleship program
While in Ireland we will enjoy the best of Irish food, entertainment, culture, and natural beauty, but a journey with Life on Pilgrimage goes far beyond just a trip.
We believe in the spiritual growth and renewal that happens when women engage in the ancient practice of pilgrimage. Each day of the pilgrimage will include a spiritual teaching, Scripture study, and personal reflection time.
Life on Pilgrimage journeys are a four-month discipleship program. You will receive pre and post-travel materials to help you grow in new spiritual disciples to bless you long after you return home from Ireland.
