DAY 1:
Bonjourno and welcome to Rome! A driver will meet you at the Rome Airport (FCO) and take you to our hotel, Rome Times Hotel in the heart of Rome. All guests should schedule to arrive at the hotel by 2:00 pm. We will have a welcome session followed by a tour of the Basilica of St. Cecelia, a former “house church” from the 2nd century. There we will learn about the incredible faith, life, legacy of the martyr Cecelia. We will enjoy dinner together in the beautiful neighborhood of Trastevere.

DAY 2:
After breakfast at the hotel, we will meet our guide for a private tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum. On this tour, we will learn about 1st-century Roman culture, and how it effected the early Church of Rome. In the Forum, we will learn about the politics and pagan religious practices that ruled Rome and served as the hub of the Empire. After lunch, we will visit the Mamertime Prison, where it is believed Paul was held before his death, and at the time of the writing of 2 Timothy.
That evening we will enjoy dinner in the heart of the Monti neighborhood of Rome with a visit to the Trevi Fountain.

DAY 3:
Today we will visit three unique churches tied to women of the Early Church in Rome. This off-the-beaten-path tour will give you a unique view of how women yielded their influence to build the Church in Rome and the sacrifices often made to spread the Gospel. You will learn about the granddaughters of Pudens (mentioned in 2 Timothy) and Helene the mother of Constantine, three faithful women whose legacy has spanned the last 1700 years.
We will have some free time in the afternoon before a pre-dinner teaching at the hotel, and dinner at a nearby restaurant.

DAY 4:
After breakfast at the hotel, we will board our private charter bus leaving the city of Rome. We will stop at St. Callixtus Catacombs where over 500,000 early Christians were buried (over 100,000 of them being martyred.) Continuing north we will arrive at our next “home away from home,” Villa Ermellina Siena. This breathtaking setting will be our home for the next three days.

DAY 5:
This will be a day of rest, deep conversations, and teachings as we enjoy the luxurious surroundings of Villa Ermellina. We will have multiple teaching sessions, time for small group discussions, and personal reflection.

DAY 6
After breakfast, we will head into Siena to learn about Catherine of Siena, a 14th-century saint who boldly influenced her city and the Church. In town we will visit multiple sites tied to her life as well as the beautiful cathedral of Siena. There will be free time in the afternoon for shopping and exploring before dinner together in town.

DAY 7
Our coach will take us back to Rome where we will have some downtime before our special farewell dinner. We will conclude our journey together through sharing and celebrating all the ways God is calling each of us to be women of influence in our own communities.

DAY 8:
After breakfast at the hotel, cars will be arranged to take you to the airport based on your departure time.
