Starting in the 4th century, women traveled across Ireland sharing the gospel, caring for the poor, and establishing communities of faith and learning. They were founders, waymakers, evangelists, and mercy-workers, leaving a legacy of faith that shaped Christianity in Ireland and beyond. Join Life on Pilgrimage founder, Wendy Schulz on this nine-day pilgrimage that weaves together faith, history, and art, following in the footsteps of these faithful women.
Together we will explore Dublin, Kildare, Cashel, Killarney, and Dingle. Our carefully cultivated itinerary includes private tours, unique cultural experiences, incredible accommodations, and daily spiritual teachings.
You will leave your time in Ireland with new friendships and a fresh perspective of what it looks like to walk out your faith at home.
Who is going?
Meet Wendy
Wendy Schulz, founder of Life on Pilgrimage, will lead this pilgrimage providing daily spiritual teaching and sharing ancient pilgrimage practices to renew your faith and draw you closer to the Lord in your faith walk. She will plan and lead each detail of our trip, giving you a worry-free, relaxing experience. Her guidance begins long before our trip. She will host a private FB group and three pre-travel calls leading up to our trip offering support for your practical and spiritual preparation.
Meet Heidi
Heidi Chichester will be returning as our Trip Shepherd for Women of the Way 2026. Heidi will be managing our daily schedule so you can fully relax and engage in the spiritual elements of our trip. Past pilgrims have loved traveling with Heidi as she has a compassionate eye for traveler needs – from practical help to a powerful prayer partner, she is loved by Life on Pilgrimage women.
Who’s Going?
Our trip will have a maximum of 16 guests. Past Life on Pilgrimage travelers have ranged in age from 18 to 78. We are open to all women who profess Christ as their Lord and Savior, with an average of 8 denominations represented in each group. Whether you are traveling solo, or coming with a friend or family member, you will leave with 15 new sisters in Christ. The community our trips form is one of the top reasons women come back for their second, third, or even fourth pilgrimage with us!
Where are we going?
The journey begins in Dublin
Our 9-day journey begins and ends in the capital city of Dublin. We’ll begin our journey with three days in Dublin learning about the rich heritage of Ireland’s patron saints Patrick and Brigid. We will enjoy a tour of the Book of Kells, a unique private tour of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and enjoy a day trip to Kildare.
While in Dublin, we will be staying at The Brooks Hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Dublin. Each night we will have unique dining experiences, including a traditional pub, Jamie Oliver’s award-winning restaurant, and a night of traditional dance and music at The Irish House Party.
Rock of Cashel to Killarney
From Dublin we will travel south spending a day touring Rock of Cashel, also known as St Patrick’s Rock. These impressive ruins hold a special place in the history of Christianity in Ireland.
We will continue south to our second “home away from home,” the award-winning Lakes Hotel, which will be our base for the next two days.
While in Killarney we will enjoy a restful day of deep spiritual teachings, a visit to St. Mary’s Cathedral and some fun free time to explore this iconic Irish town
On our second day in Killarney, we will enjoy a jaunting tour (traditional horse and carriage) around the park, a luxurious high tea, and a visit to Muckros Abbey.
Dingle
.
We will continue on to our last stop, the southwestmost tip of Ireland, Dingle. In Dingle, we will spend one day on a pilgrimage walk along the Cosan na Naomh, an ancient pilgrimage route, for a day of personal reflection as we tie together the lessons learned from Ireland’s faithful and consider how we will go home to walk out our faith as Women of the Way.
More than a trip… this is a spiritual discipleship program
While in Ireland we will enjoy the best of Irish food, entertainment, culture, and natural beauty, but a journey with Life on Pilgrimage goes far beyond just a trip.
We believe in the spiritual growth and renewal that happens when women engage in the ancient practice of pilgrimage. Each day of the pilgrimage will include a spiritual teaching, Scripture study, and personal reflection time.
Life on Pilgrimage journeys are a four-month discipleship program. You will receive pre and post-travel materials to help you grow in new spiritual disciples to bless you long after you return home from Ireland.
